Don’t miss Moonlight Mixers. Shag the night away under the stars at the Folly Beach Pier, where DJ Jim Bowers will be spinning the hottest oldies and beach music for you all night long. The event takes place 7-11 p.m. at Folly Beach Pier, 101 E Arctic Ave., Folly Beach. Saturday, Aug. 18

Come check out the 16th Annual Ballpark Festival of Beers presented by Kickin’ Chicken! Sample over 100 American and international ales, stouts, lagers, pilsners and specialty brews. The Major League Lacrosse Championship is coming to Charleston. The professional lacrosse league began in 2001 and consists of nine teams in the US. This will be the first-time the championship game will be played in the state of South Carolina. The Special Needs Prom is happening this weekend. People with special needs, their families, friends and caregivers are invited to a spectacular prom-themed celebration! Beverages, food and snacks will be available for purchase on-site. Advance ticket purchase is recommended. Photo ID is required to gain entry. A registered chaperone is required for ages 15 and younger. The event takes place 6–8 p.m. at the R.L.
