The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission’s (CCPRC) counterpart to the summertime Shaggin’ on the Cooper events (open to all ages on select Saturday nights), Friday Night Boogie is intended for adults ages 21 and up. Gates open at 7 p.m. and music will continue until 11 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Pier, 71 Harry M. Hallman Jr Blvd., Mount Pleasant. Admission to Friday Night Boogie is $10. As summer settles on the South, bands from the Charleston area and throughout the state will perform monthly at the Mount Pleasant Pier for Shaggin’ on the Cooper. Spend summer nights on the pier with a date or head out to meet new friends, kick back and relax while taking in the fresh air and fun atmosphere. Beverages are available for purchase on site, and food is available for sale at the Mount Pleasant Pier’s River Watch Café. Food and beverages are not included in ticket prices.
